Vineyard Paul Clüver Family Wines
This family run wine business is located in the Elgin Valley, about 70 km southeast of Cape Town. The estate has been owned by the Cluver family since 1896.
Known as wine pioneers in the area, Paul Cluver strives to produce elegant wines that wonderfully express the terroir of this "cold-climate" region. An integral part of the winery's success is undoubtedly the Cluver family itself - a close-knit group with a visionary and pioneering spirit. Four of the five Cluver brothers and their sisters, work in the family business and will take over the reins from their parents, Paul and Songvei Cluver.
The Cluver Winery forms part of a holistic farm business called 'De Rust Estate'. This more than 2000 hectare estate is part of the UNESCO World Heritage, the Kogelberg Biosphere. Paul Cluver wines are truly world class and their achievements, both local and international, are of remarkable magnitude.
