David & Nadia Sadie - Hochdotiertes Weingut in Südafrikas Swartland Region

Winemaker David Sadie and wife Nadia Sadie press and create their award-winning and highly endowed wine portfolio under the David & Nadia Sadie label on their Paardebosch Farm in the soaring Swartland wine region of South Africa. The portfolio includes wines such as David Aristargos, David Elpidios, Siebritskloof Pinotage and the varietal wines David Chenin Blanc and David Grenache.

Born in the Swartland, David grew up in the Western Cape region, known for its distinctive wines. After studying oenology at the University of Stellenbosch, he gained valuable experience in local wineries such as Waterford, Rustenberg and Saronsberg, as well as internationally in New Zealand (South Pacific Cellars) and France (Chateau Quinault/ Yves Quilleron). During his years as a student in Stellenbosch David met his future wife Nadia, an experienced and highly qualified soil scientist and winemaker.

Getting to know Mediterranean regions and tasting their wines left a lasting impression on David, and several years of experience with Mediterranean grape varieties both on the domestic side and in the northern Rhône region of France gave David the confidence to create wines and projects under his own label. From his "Aristargos 2010" with a production of just 713 bottles of the vintage, the David & Nadia Sadie Winery has now grown into a highly successful wine company whose wines regularly receive the most prestigious awards and recognitions. South Africa's famous wine guide, Platter's Wine Guide, has awarded its highly coveted stars to the young winery, with ratings of 4.5 stars and up testifying to the distinctive quality of the wines.

For the couple, wine is primarily about natural balance, purity, and freshness - qualities and characteristics which, according to David and Nadia's tried and tested philosophy, can only be expressed perfectly if the terroir of the vineyard is accorded the highest respect. The team works closely with like-minded Swartland winegrowers and expertly sources grapes from the best Swartland terroirs. The result is unmistakable world-class wines!
