The David & Nadia Elpidios 2023 signifies the craftsmanship of David & Nadia Sadie, featuring a masterfully crafted cuvée from Swartland. This blend of Syrah, Carignan, Grenache, Cinsault, and Pinotage results in a full-bodied, smooth wine with a stunning Rhône style. On the palate, it unveils a kaleidoscope of ripe black fruits, vibrant raspberries, and a medley of wild herbs, accented by lively acidity and elegant tannins that enhance the wine's complexity.
This vintage includes a portion of Grenache and Syrah fermented and matured in a concrete egg. The wine also aged in neutral, older 500L French oak barrels, with the Pinotage component in 4000L foudres. After bottling, it matured for 18 months in the bottle.
