South Africa's uniquely positioned wine farm, Cederberg Private Cellar falls within the unspoilt Cederberg Wilderness Area, which in turn is located in the Cape Floral Region of the UNESCO World Heritage List. Between spectacular rock formations and fynbos you will find the highest vineyards of the Cape. At an altitude of more than 1000 m above sea level, Cederberg Private Cellar is South Africa's highest winery and a unique wine experience in every respect. Conservation is a priority here and Cederberg Cellar is a committed member of the Biodiversity & Wine Initiative.

Thanks to the cool climate, diverse soil types, clean air and crystal clear water, winemaker David Nieuwoudt is able to create red and white wines as spectacular and dramatic as the breathtaking mountain scenery of the award-winning winery itself.

Cederberg Private Cellar's red wine production accounts for 60% of total production. For white wines, the main focus is on Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and bouquet grapes, red varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.

Cederberg Private Cellar offers six different ranges of wines that are brimming with awards and prizes. The ranges include: Cederberg, Five Generations, David Nieuwoudt Ghost Corner, Waitrose Foundation, Cape Atlantic and Cape Winemakers Guild. Each wine series, in fact, each wine, speaks for itself and offers top-class wine from one of the most beautiful places in the world!
