Whale Sightings and Fine Wines from Hermanus
Magazin | Journal Südafrikanisches Weingut, Südafrika
During whale season, a visit to Hermanus is essential to meet these gentle giants and discover exquisite wineries along the route. This week, we connected with a few partners whose wines we are proud to present.
Our visits are filled with delightful encounters with familiar faces and new vintages. Selected wines from various vineyards along the way are featured in this week's offers.
Range of selections include wines from Lothian, Thelema of Elgin, and Benguela Cove, at the entrance to Walker Bay, culminating in a stop at Ataraxia for breathtaking views. If one day feels too ambitious, spend two days; Hermanus has plenty of lovely accommodations.
If you're unable to visit this year, savor the flavors at home to replicate the experience.
For those making the journey, I recommend Benguela Cove, recognized by Tim Atkin for the finest “Cellar Door Experience.”
You'll also pass by our kindergarten in Grabouw, established with Lebenslinien e.V. Should you have any interest, do reach out!
That’s all for today, warm regards from the Cape of wonderful wines.
