The Vrede en Lust Lady J Syrah serves as a remarkable illustration of how grapes from two disparate terroirs can unite to craft an exceptional wine. This refined Shiraz flaunts an enchanting balance of dark berry fruits alongside enticing spices. The Simonsberg-Paarl fruit contributes alluring violet and plum notes, while the Elgin grapes add a deeper profile with hints of chocolate and black pepper. The grapes were harvested at optimal ripeness and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The Elgin and Simonsberg grapes were vinified separately, with three daily pump-overs to aid color and tannin extraction. The wine matured for 16 months in French oak barrels.
