The Stellenrust 60 Barrel Fermented Chenin Blanc 2024 is distinguished by its striking complexity, revealing a captivating aroma of apricot, peach, and tropical pineapple, alongside delicate hints of yeasty brioche. On the palate, it offers a full-bodied yet harmonious experience, presenting a creamy mouthfeel enhanced by lasting caramel and honey notes, leading to a deeply satisfying finish.
Crafted from 60-year-old Chenin Blanc vines rooted in the prestigious Bottelary Hills, a celebrated area of South Africa's oldest wine route, this wine reflects its exceptional terroir.
Der Saft der Trauben wurde mehrere Tage lang ohne die Zugabe von Enzymen ruhen gelassen. Danach wurde der Saft in eine spezielle Auswahl von Fässern umgefüllt und der natürlichen Fermentation überlassen. Die Fermentierung dauerte acht Monate lang an, woraufhin der Wein einen weiteren Monat im Weintrub gelassen wurde. Der Wein reifte neun Monate lang in Eichenfässern (90 % französische Eiche und 10% Ungarische Eiche).
