Vineyard Springfield Estate
Springfield Estate (Robertson) is owned by the Bruwer family, the fourth generation of wine growers and the ninth generation of descendants of the Bruères. These were French Huguenots who came to South Africa from the Loire in 1688 with bundles of vines under their arms.
Springfield is a traditional wine farm whose philosophy is to keep the wine production and its processes as natural as possible. Winemaker Abrie Bruwers is passionate about Springfield's wines and has a tremendous amount of expertise in this field. He is committed to minimal interference with the winery's operations, a principle that has established Springfield's reputation as a serious producer of world-class wines.
Springfield's wines are celebrated internationally on a regular basis with prestigious prizes and awards, and the wine world cannot be imagined without them.
