The Spier Seaward Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 captivates with its deep ruby hue and alluring aroma of blackcurrants, blackberries, and cherries, highlighted by subtle cedar wood notes. Treatment in the cellar The grapes were hand-picked and, upon arrival at the winery, completely destemmed and subjected to a two-day cold soak in stainless steel tanks. The fermentation process lasted 15 days after the addition of selected yeast cultures. After fermentation was complete, the wine was transferred to a combination of 80% French and 20% American oak barrels for malolactic fermentation, where it was then aged for 14 months.
