Das Traubengut für diesen hochdotierten Chenin Blanc wurde in den frühen Morgenstunden von mehr als 61 Jahre alten Rebstöcken handgelesen und bei Ankunft in der Kellerei am ganzen Bund gepresst. Der dabei gewonnene Saft wurde über Nacht ruhen gelassen und anschließend in 20 zuvorbelegten Burgunder-Eichenfässern bei geregelten 17°C vinifiziert. Nach Abschluss der alkoholischen Gärung reifte der Wein noch weitere neun Monate auf der Hefe, bevor er zum fertigen Genuss auf die Flasche gefüllt wurde.
