The history of this remarkable winery goes back more than half a century and began with a group of pioneering wine farms along the three rivers that surround the majestic Rooiberg Mountain - the Vink-, Noree- and Breede River. A geological setting that produces exceptional terroir diversity for wine growing. Thanks to its outstanding red landscape art, famous for Africa's largest chair among other things, travellers can hardly fail to notice this original and enterprising winery, owned by a total of 30 partners. At the gateway to the famous Robertson Valley, whose extraordinary diversity of terroirs is reflected in a remarkable range of award-winning wines, Rooiberg Winery is committed to maintaining the highest quality as the key ingredient to its success, both with its own labels and with wines produced on commission for private clients. Recently, The Game Reserve, a wine range that many may remember from Graham Beck's production, has come under the new management of Rooiberg Winery. The Game Reserve introduces wine lovers to a concept that is both unique and honourable in its kind - a wine brand dedicated with deep devotion and passion to the precious nature and wildlife of South Africa. As the only wine brand associated with a private nature reserve, a portion of the proceeds from each bottle goes back into South Africa's vital and life-sustaining conservation projects.
