Information about "Mulderbosch Chardonnay 2023"

The Mulderbosch Chardonnay 2023 shines with a classic golden hue complemented by fresh green reflections. Exhibiting a delightful bouquet of Granny Smith apples interwoven with hints of citrus zest, delicate vanilla, and caramel, it also reveals subtle touches of winter melon, ripe peaches, apricots, and pear. On the palate, the wine is concentrated, mineral, and linear, a testament to nearly a year spent on its lees. This remarkable wine embodies the winemaker's expertise, merging the natural body of a top-tier Chardonnay with skillful oak handling.

Treatment in the cellar 50% of the grapes fermented in French oak barrels (50% new wood), while the remaining portion was aged in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation was complete, the wine was racked off the lees and matured separately in steel and oak for six months before the components were blended and transferred to larger 1,500-litre barrels, where the wine matured for a further six months before bottling.
