The Bosman Nero reveals a rich ruby color interlaced with violet, offering a captivating aroma of fresh berries accented by subtle floral hints of violets and lavender, alongside notes of ripe plums and sweet spices. On the palate, it showcases a concentrated fruit profile and an excellent tannin structure that leads into a remarkably lengthy finish.
Renowned for its uniqueness, this Nero d'Avola flourishes on the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, adapting beautifully to the hot climate and developing resilient vines on sunlit, water-scarce African soils.
The grapes were hand-harvested in the early morning and destemmed upon arrival at the cellar. During fermentation, the cap was regularly submerged to maximize color and flavor extraction. The wine remained for several days on the skins before being pressed, then aged for 18 months in a mix of new and once- to three-times-used French oak barrels. After blending, it rested for an additional three months in barrel, achieving a well-rounded and harmonious final result.
