Information about "Sadie Family Palladius 2023"
The Sadie Family Palladius is a remarkable white wine cuvée hailing from South Africa's Swartland region. Its bright, vibrant color hints at a palate overflowing with lively fruit and exceptional freshness, showcasing high-quality winemaking. The nose features a bouquet dominated by lime and other citrus fruits, complemented by a minerally, stony aroma and notes of stone fruit. On the palate, a savory salinity prevails alongside a fine creaminess, enhanced by hints of green apple and a crisp phenolic backbone. Perfectly integrated acidity delivers an outstanding balance and a long, lingering finish. This wine is truly a Swartland masterpiece!
The grapes for the Palladius were meticulously hand-selected, then pressed in a traditional basket press. The juice flowed directly into clay amphorae and concrete eggs, where it fermented spontaneously without additives, followed by 12 months of maturation in old fudders.
