The Avondale Anima Chenin Blanc delights with aromas of fresh winter melon, tropical pineapple, and vibrant lime, accented by a hint of delicate honey. These scents speak to the incredible elegance and lushness of this softly oaked Chenin. On the palate, it presents a tight-knit structure filled with fresh notes of gooseberry, quince, and peach, which beautifully intertwine with the soulful minerality that lends the wine its name.
Das handgelesene, biologisch angebaute Traubengut wurde am ganzen Bund gepresst, woraufhin der Saft auf natürliche Weise in französischen Eichenfässern mit einer Füllmenge von 500 l pro Fass fermentierte. 15 -20 % der Trauben fermentierten in Amphoren, was eine grandiose Vollmundigkeit und wunderschöne Länge in den Wein überträgt. Nach Abschluss der Gärung reifte der Wein 12 Monate auf der Hefe und wurde dabei regelmäßig aufgerührt (batonnage), um so mehr Fülle und Komplexität im Wein zu erhalten.
