In a dark, intense ruby, the Cloof Duckitt Red reveals an enchanting bouquet of blueberries and blackcurrants, accented by subtle notes of cigar box. With a medium body and smoothly integrated tannins, the palate unveils a complex array of ripe forest berry flavors, culminating in a soft smoky finish.
Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon were fermented separately with selected yeasts for eight days at a controlled temperature of 30°C. Following an additional eight days of maceration, both were pressed. Merlot underwent a two-day cold soaking before adding Bordeaux yeasts, fermenting for five days at 32°C, and was pressed after another five days of skin contact. The final blend matured for ten months in French oak barrels.
