In a straw-coloured gold tone and almost viscous consistency, the unwooded Alvi's Drift Signature Chenin Blanc presents itself with a wonderful mouth feel and creamy texture. The acidity is well integrated, the wine is well balanced. On the palate it shows unusual density and length for an unwooded wine. Primary fruit aromas of white peaches and nectarine dominate the nose and can also be found on the palate. A rare combination of intense fruit, complexity and length!
In den frühen Morgenstunden von Hand gelesen, fließt dieser Wein im Keller nur mittels Schwerkraft. Auf den Einsatz von Pumpen wurde komplett verzichtet. Spontanvergoren und kalt in Tanks aus Edelstahl fermentiert, reifte er nach dem Abschluss der Gärung noch fünf Monate auf der Hefe und wurde während dieser Zeit regelmäßig aufgerührt (batonnage), um ihm seine cremige Textur zu verleihen.
