The story of this family-owned estate in Robertson dates back to 1937. What began as a small farm grew over the decades into one of the well-known names in the South African wine world. To this day, the family remains at the heart of Van Loveren.
Van Loveren combines tradition with a modern approach to wine and enjoyment. The Robertson region in the Breede River Valley offers excellent conditions for winemaking, with its distinctive soils and dry climate.
A particularly special part of the family’s history is the estate’s expansive Retreat Garden. What began as a personal garden project has evolved over the years into a unique place that reflects the family’s deep connection to the land.
