The Van Loveren African Java Pinotage emerges from the vibrant lands of South Africa, showcasing the unique character of this indigenous grape variety. Its bouquet captivates with aromas of roasted coffee beans and smoky Mokka-Java notes. On the palate, one encounters complex flavors of ripe berries and plums, beautifully complemented by the lingering essence of coffee, resulting in a remarkably structured tasting experience. The tannins are fine and well-defined, contributing to a soft yet present mouthfeel.
The grape juice was fermented on the skins for four days before pressing. Then, the juice was aged in new French oak barrels for further fermentation, followed by an additional four months of maturation.

Sanft und saftig
Ein dichter, würziger Wein. Noch nicht so samtig wie der 2023er. Aber nach 1-2 Tagen geöffnet gewinnt das Aroma und der Wein erfüllt die Erwartungen. Die leichte Restsüße schmeichelt den Gaumen, die Extrem-Trocken-Trinker werden die Nase rümpfen. Für mich und viele Gäste einfach sehr lecker.

Dieses Weingut erstmalig aufgesucht und nach Corona nun wieder. Dieser Pinotage ist unser Lieblingsrotwein - immer noch. Somit ein Muss, ihn in Deutschland wieder zu bestellen.
