The Zandvliet Kalkveld Shiraz presents itself in a deep ruby hue, enchanting the senses with an opulent aroma of ripe plums and damsons, accented by fragrant violets and delicate spices. On the palate, it reveals its full-bodied character, enhanced by subtle oak tones and impressive balance. The finish lingers, smooth and refined, long after the last drop.
The grapes for this exceptional Shiraz were crushed and underwent a three-day cold soak at a regulated 10°C before fermentation commenced at controlled temperatures of 25 – 30°C. Malolactic fermentation occurred at 18°C, followed by 24 months of maturation in new French oak barrels.
