Information about "Weltevrede Poet's Prayer Chardonnay 2024"
The Weltevrede Poet's Prayer Chardonnay 2024 showcases a refined elegance with its straightforward and minimalist approach. Its luminous lime-green color captivates the senses while on the palate, it offers a delightful coolness, invigorating freshness, and a precise minerality. With layers of flint, nuts, and zesty lime, it reveals an exciting complexity. This wine is a singular creation—a testament to nature's excellence.
Its pure, vivid minerality provides an enticing invitation to pour another glass.
Hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed. A select few Burgundy-style 228-liter barrels are used for fermentation and aged on lees for one year.
Calcrete, unique to this limestone-rich appellation between Bonnievale and Robertson, emerges from arid slate and ancient petrified marine deposits. It imparts crystalline minerality—flavors of wet stone, salty sea spray, and oyster shell.
