The Vondeling Baldrick Shiraz 2022 captivates with its deep violet color and splendid aromas of ripe plums, dark mulberries, cherry blossoms, and violets, rounded out with hints of cinnamon and white pepper. It presents an exceptionally smooth mouthfeel, with youthful yet well-rounded tannins offering delightful notes of ripe blueberries, dark olives, and gentle spices. This medium-bodied, vibrant Shiraz is a thrilling experience for any wine lover.
Die Trauben wurden kühl aufgehoben, zum Teil entrappt und gequetscht, und fermentierten bei konstanten 22°C in offenen Tanks. Dabei wurden für den Gärungsprozess keine kommerziellen Hefekulturen verwendet. Während der Gärung wurde der Wein mehrere Male per Hand umgerührt. Diese Methode ermöglicht bessere Kontrolle. Nach Abschluss der Gärung ging es in die traditionelle Korbpresse woraufhin der Wein ohne Umweg in zweit- sowie drittbelegte Fässer aus französischer Eiche gefüllt wurde. Der Wein reifte über ein Jahr lang in französischer Eiche.
