The Tokara Shiraz pours a deep plum-red, evolving into an intricate bouquet of dark plums, ripe blackberries, and wild berry nuances, complemented by delicate notes of red and black fruits draped in subtle spice.The palate is lush, presenting a smooth fruit flavor, layered with red fruit aromas and an elegant herbal touch. Juicy and vibrant on the mid-palate, this remarkable Shiraz culminates in a dry finish, revealing lightly chalky tannins. Its flavor profile is both rich and concentrated, yet refreshingly bright.
Following harvest, the grapes were hand-sorted and crushed. Spontaneous fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks and wood. Malolactic fermentation occurred in barrels, after which the wine aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, of which 10% were new oak and the rest second to fifth fill.
