The Thistle & Weed Brandnetel Chenin Blanc enchants with a lively aroma of winter melon, lime, and a note of salty sea breeze! The grapes were gently pressed and underwent natural fermentation. Only free-run juice was fermented in older French oak barrels. The wine matured on its lees for 10 months and was bottled unfined and unfiltered. This exceptional vineyard is situated at the foot of the Simonsberg in Stellenbosch, with granitic soils that exhibit high weathering. Large sandstone fragments on the surface contribute to a coarse, well-draining topsoil. The vineyard was established in 1980 at an elevation of 300 meters.
