The Thelema Merlot Reserve 2022 captivates with a rich bouquet featuring ripe cherries, juicy raspberries, and subtle blackcurrant notes, beautifully complemented by hints of cedar, sandalwood, and baking spices. On the palate, this distinguished Merlot presents a harmonious symphony of red fruit flavors, highlighted by strawberries and black cherries, elegantly balanced with refined acidity, silky tannins, and delicate mineral undertones. This wine exemplifies both elegance and balance, offering a sophisticated yet approachable expression, perfect for enhancing any fine wine selection.
Die Gärung erfolgt in Edelstahltanks, wobei eine Kombination aus aerativen 'pumpovers' und Pigeage-Techniken verwendet wird, um eine optimale Extraktion von Farbe, Tanninen und Geschmack zu gewährleisten. Nach Abschluss der Gärung wird der Wein von den Häuten abgezogen und in einen Lagertank überführt, um anschließend in Fässer gefüllt zu werden. Die malolaktische Gärung findet in den Fässern statt. Die Weine reifen dort 18 Monate lang, mit 40% neuen französischen Eichenfässern, und es erfolgt in dieser Zeit nur ein Umfüllen. Nach der Verkostung aller einzelnen Partien entscheidet unser Kellerteam über die endgültige Verschnittkomposition, die Fässer werden in den Tanklagerbereich geleert und die Weine für die Abfüllung vorbereitet. Holzreifung 18 Monate im Fass. 40% neue französische Eiche, der Rest in älteren Fässern.
