The Survivor Cellar Master Cabernet Franc Merlot 2022 accentuates the purity of the Tradouw terroir. This intricate blend features enticing notes of red berries, enhanced by robust hints of cherry, tobacco leaf, and red pepper. The oak is perfectly integrated, enriching the velvety palate while emphasizing its refreshingly juicy essence. Grown on clay-limestone soils with traces of decomposed Bokkeveld shale, these grapes yield wines that exhibit depth, elegance, minerality, and vibrancy. Treatment in the cellar

The Cabernet Franc and Merlot underwent a prolonged cold maceration for four days, followed by individual fermentation with Bordeaux-grown yeasts until all sugars were fermented. The wines were then macerated on the skins for 10 days before pressing, completing malolactic fermentation in 300-liter barrels. They aged for 22 months in 60% new, 20% second-fill, and 20% third-fill barrels before bottling.
