The Spier Seaward Chardonnay 2024 showcases the brilliance of cool-climate fruit with charming aromas of ripe nectarine and pear candy complexity, delicately accented by almond notes. The palate reveals a creamy texture interwoven with fresh citrus zest, floral hints, and stone fruit flavors, harmoniously wrapped in integrated undertones of vanilla.
Die Trauben wurden bei Ankunft im Keller gekühlt, bevor sie zerkleinert und einer vierstündigen Kaltquellphase auf der Haut unterzogen wurden. Ausschließlich der freiablaufende Saft wurde für die Fermentierung verwendet, die zu 60% in Edelstahltanks und zu 40% in älteren Fässern aus französischer Eiche stattfand. Nach Abschluss der Gärung verbrachte der Wein noch acht Monate auf der Hefe, bevor der in Holz ausgebaute Wein mit dem in Stahl vergorenem Anteil verschnitten und auf die Flasche gefüllt wurde.
