The Spier Good Natured Organic Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon is characterized by vivid aromas of blackcurrants and sun-kissed mulberries, supported by hints of gingerbread and dark chocolate. This medium-bodied red blend showcases a remarkable harmony, featuring silky tannins and a graceful finish.
Here, 15 to 20-year-old vines thrive in rich, weathered granite soils under strict organic cultivation, adhering to international standards. By employing mechanical measures for foliage and weed management, we ensure a natural defense against diseases, greatly reducing the need for harmful chemicals.
The organically grown grapes were harvested at optimal ripeness, destemmed, and crushed in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation lasted up to 12 days on the skins, after which the must was transferred into stainless steel tanks with staves made from French oak to enhance the wine's flavor profile and length. The wine was then aged on its lees for 12 months, providing optimal structure and maximum aroma.
