The Spier Frans K. Smit White shines in a delicate straw-yellow with vibrant green reflections, revealing an enchanting aroma of elderflower, blackcurrants, and citrus notes, accentuated by a subtle hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is remarkably balanced, delivering delightful flavors of fresh gooseberries, tropical passionfruit, and hints of green fig leaves. The Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes were meticulously handpicked at optimal ripeness and acidity levels. After pressing, the free-run juice remained on the skins for a full day. Fermentation occurred in a large wine foudre (80% new wood), followed by 14 months of aging on the lees.
