Spier Creative Block 3 is a testament to artistry, presenting a deep ruby color accented by a brilliant violet rim. It opens with captivating aromas of violets, black cherry, and mulberry, intertwined with hints of black pepper and fennel that enhance its aromatic complexity. The palate is richly textured, showcasing silky fruit and robust, ripe tannins that confer elegance and structure. This compelling Rhône blend, crafted from Shiraz, Mourvèdre, and Viognier, captivates with both depth and finesse.
The grapes were handpicked and pre-cooled before destemming and sorting. Fermentation occurred over 14 days in stainless steel tanks. The wine then underwent malolactic fermentation and matured in 300-liter barrels of French and American oak for 16 months, with 40% in first-fill and 60% in second-fill. Each grape variety was vinified separately to meet its specific needs, culminating in a blend that harmonizes fruit, body, oak influence, and tannin structure.
