Named after the impressive Kokerboom trees nearby, the Sadie Family Die Ouwingerdreeks Kokerboom emerges from vineyards planted in 1930. This sophisticated blend of Semillon Blanc and its red variant, Semillon Gris, offers a magnificent nose of peach, delicate floral scents, fennel, lemongrass, almonds, and ripe exotic fruits. On the palate, it delivers a creamy texture, intertwining with lively citrus notes and a hint of salinity, leading to a remarkably lasting finish. An absolute delight!
Der weiße und rote Semillon wurden zur gleichen Zeit gelesen und zusammen gepresst. Der kostbare Saft wird von der Korbpresse gewonnen, welcher dann in alte Fässer gefüllt wird und der natürlich „spontanen“ Gärung überlassen wird. Der Wein reifte anschließend 12 Monate in zuvor belegten Holzfässern auf der Hefe, bevor er ungefiltert und unverfeinert auf die Flasche gefüllt wurde.
