Rikus Neethling Red Blend unites robust aromas of dark, ripe berries, evoking mulberries, blackberries, elderberries, and blackcurrants, contributing to its extraordinary color intensity. This vibrant flavor profile is complemented by notes of plum and nectarine, enriched with a brighter touch of red currants, wild cherries, and dried cranberries. Secondary aromas take a back seat, and through the tasteful use of oak, a delightful spiciness and warm hints of cinnamon, bittersweet chocolate, and licorice are revealed. The wine is dry, with well-rounded, ripe tannins that caress the palate and leave a pleasing savory finish. Full-bodied yet refreshingly inviting when served slightly chilled, the higher alcohol content is pleasantly balanced as glycerin lends a perception of sweetness while helping the tannins achieve a silky texture. A lively acidity runs through the fruit, providing balance and freshness, culminating in an intense and concentrated flavor with a lingering finish.
Treatment in the cellar
The three different wines were made in separate batches and barrel
matured in French oak barrels for 14 months,
before being blended together to be bottled.

Toller Wein zu Wild!
Zuerst hat mich nur das Label angesprochen, weil mein Mann Jäger ist und wir viel Wild essen. Zum Reh, war dieser Blend wie die Faust aufs Auge! Sehr ausdrucksstark und beerig!
