The Raats Family Cabernet Franc 2022 is a remarkable wine produced from vines over 20 years old. Its enchanting bouquet reveals aromatic notes of Cape Fynbos, rosemary, and lavender, complemented by nuances of thyme, nutmeg, clove, and star anise. Hand-harvested and meticulously sorted, the grapes underwent crushing and were left on their skins for five days. After fermentation, the wine was pressed using a traditional basket press. Malolactic fermentation occurred in stainless steel tanks, followed by 18 months of maturation in French barriques (25% new oak).
