The Porseleinberg Syrah 2023 exemplifies the unique terroir of Swartland, delivering an impressive depth and complexity. This acclaimed wine seduces with its enticing bouquet of incense, thyme, and black pepper, seamless integrated with vivid notes of blackberry, red fruits, and a whisper of licorice. It features robust tannins and a mineral core, establishing it as a world-class wine. Since its debut in 2010, the Porseleinberg Syrah has become one of the most exciting wines from this region.
Das handgelesene Traubengut wurde bei Ankunft in der Kellerei am ganzen Bund in Betontanks gefüllt und mit bloßer Beinkraftm dem traditionellen Weintreten, zerstampft und fermentierte anschließend auf natürliche Weise. Während des Gärungsprozesses wurde der Tresterhut zweimal täglich untergetaucht. Nach Abschluss der Gärung reifte der Wein 12 Monate lang zu 70% im Fass sowie zu 30% in Betoneiern und wurde anschließend auf die Flasche gefüllt.

Der Porseleinberg ist etwas ganz Besonderes - wann hat man schon einmal einen Wein, der je nach Jahrgang die höchst mögliche Punktzahl erreicht? Das liebe ich an Südafrikanischen Weinen, dass ich mir selbst solche Weine leisten kann. Für ganz besondere Augenblicke im Leben.
