The Porcupine Ridge Merlot 2024 showcases a brilliant ruby red, enticing with a layered bouquet of ripe red plums and cranberries, enhanced by a delicate spice ensemble of cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg, alongside fresh herbal notes of rosemary, thyme, and oregano. Its mouthfeel is velvety, featuring an exceptionally smooth mid-palate that balances dark berry flavors with well-integrated, soft tannins and refreshing acidity. The finish is vibrant, with lingering nuances of mocha and dark chocolate.
Die Trauben für diesen Wein wurden vor der alkoholischen Gärung einer Kaltquellung unterzogen, um die perfekte Extraktion von Farbe und Fülle zu erhalten. Die Trauben wurden mit großer Sorgfalt verarbeitet, um den Auszug harscher Tannine zu vermeiden und das fruchtige Profil zu erhalten. Ein Teil des Weins wurde in französischer Eiche gereift, während der restliche Teil in Edelstahl ausgebaut wurde.
