The Plaisir Petit Plaisir Chardonnay showcases a gentle yellow hue with refreshing green reflections. It envelops the senses with enticing tropical fruit aromas and hints of grilled pineapple. The palate reveals a crisp, zesty character, culminating in a buttery biscuit finish, complemented by subtle oak nuances. This wine features a light to medium body that caresses the palate with delicious tropical flavors and delicate floral notes, leading to a generous and pleasing finish that is utterly delightful.
Die Chardonnay-Trauben wurden bei Ankunft im Keller gequetscht, wobei ausschließlich der Freilaufsaft für die weitere Produktion aufgefangen und über Nacht ruhen gelassen wurde. Am nächsten Morgen wurde der Saft in eine Kombination von französischen Eichenholzfässern mit einer Füllmenge von 300 l pro Fass gegeben (20 % Neuholz, 80% zweit- sowie drittbelegt), wo die Fermentierung einsetzte. Nach Abschluss der Gärung verbrachte der Wein noch neun Monate auf der Hefe, die regelmäßig auf- und untergerührt wurde (batonnage), um ein umwerfendes Mundgefühl, Körper und Fülle im Wein zu erhalten. Die malolaktische Fermentierung fand nur teilweise statt, was einen üppigeren Stil mit frischer natürlicher Säure beschert.
