The Plaisir Petit Plaisir Chardonnay showcases a gentle yellow hue with refreshing green reflections. It envelops the senses with enticing tropical fruit aromas and hints of grilled pineapple. The palate reveals a crisp, zesty character, culminating in a buttery biscuit finish, complemented by subtle oak nuances. This wine features a light to medium body that caresses the palate with delicious tropical flavors and delicate floral notes, leading to a generous and pleasing finish that is utterly delightful.
Upon arrival at the cellar, the Chardonnay grapes were pressed, capturing only the free-run juice, which was allowed to rest overnight. The next morning, the juice was transferred into a mixture of 300L French oak barrels (20% new, 80% second- and third-fill), initiating fermentation. After fermentation, the wine matured for nine months on the lees, with regular batonage to enhance mouthfeel and body. Partial malolactic fermentation resulted in a richer style, maintaining a fresh natural acidity.
