Information about "Neil Ellis Whitehall Chardonnay 2022"
Neil Ellis Whitehall Chardonnay 2022 tantalizes the senses with a bouquet that marries vibrant citrus aromas with hints of acacia flowers and a touch of flinty minerality. The palate is marked by a tight structure that melds beautifully with the aromatic complexity, showcasing a distinct elegance. This wine embodies a fine balance of character, concentration, and understated sophistication, reflective of Elgin's unique cool climate terroir.
The grapes were handpicked as whole bunches and underwent 100% fermentation in barrels, with 35% in new 228-liter fine-grained oak barrels. The remainder matured in second- and third-fill oaks, with 25% undergoing malolactic fermentation. The wine spent nine months in 228L French oak barriques.
