Naudé Soutbos represents a captivating and multifaceted white wine blend crafted from Chenin Blanc and Colombard, thriving on the picturesque West Coast of South Africa. The nose reveals delicate notes of citrus, melon, and guava, harmoniously complemented by fresh green herbs. On the palate, aromas of ripe melon, pineapple, and a touch of guava unfold, accompanied by savory green herbs. A dry mineral character balances truffle nuances with fine salty accents. The finish is elegant and seamless, leaving a desire for more.
Treatment in the cellar
The harvested grapes were transported in small bins to the winery, where they were immediately pressed whole. Natural fermentation commenced after approximately three days. The wine was then left on its lees for as long as possible to reveal its complexity and texture. With nature doing much of the work, the winemaking process is kept as natural as possible, with minimal intervention in the vinification processes.
