Der Lemberg Spencer Pinotage verströmt den Duft aromatischer Himbeeren und dunkler Kirschen, gepaart mit einem feinen Hauch von Gewürznelken sowie dezent erdiger Anklänge. Auch am Gaumen entfalten sich die bereits von der Nase aufgenommenen Kirscharomen und vermählen sich auf köstliche Weise mit Nuancen cremiger Milchschokolade und duftiger Vanille. Seine weichen und wohl integrierten Tanninen und seine komplexe Struktur komplettieren das Genusserlebnis.
Treatment in the cellar
The grapes were harvested in the early hours of the morning to benefit from the cool night-time temperatures.
The grapes were destemmed and crushed, after which they
were cold macerated for two days before yeast was added. During
fermentation, a combination of punching down and pumping over was used
to extract colour and tannins. Once alcoholic fermentation was complete, the wine was pressed
and then transferred directly to barrels to undergo malolactic fermentation.
The wine was then racked off the lees and aged for 15 months in a combination of 300-litre and
500-litre French oak barrels.
