The Leeuwenkuil Reserve Chenin Blanc 2024 is a stunning embodiment of the Swartland region’s terroir. This prestigious blend is crafted from three carefully selected Chenin Blanc parcels, showcasing only the best barrels of the vintage. Aromas of citrus blossoms, quince, and yellow apple greet the nose, leading to a complex palate featuring luscious stone fruit and a faintly core-like texture. The finish is marked by a refreshing mineral essence, defining the wine's sophistication and character.
Das handgelesene Traubengut wurde am ganzen Bund gepresst, um den natürlichen Säuregehalt soweit wie möglich zu bewahren. Die Hälfte des dabei gewonnenen Safts wurde in französischen Eichenfässern mit einer Füllmenge von 5000 L pro Fass fermentiert, während die anderen 50% in Tanks aus Edelstahl ausgebaut wurden. Nach Abschluss der Gärung reifte der Wein neun Monate lang in französischer Eiche, bevor er verschnitten und zum fertigen Genuss auf die Flasche gefüllt wurde.
