The Lanzerac Pinotage Rosé embodies Stellenbosch's terroir with a delicate bouquet of floral rose petals, ripe red currants, and crushed strawberries. Its soft, pale pink hue comes from a short 2 to 3-hour skin contact with Pinotage grapes. This pleasantly dry rosé is characterized by vibrant fruit flavors, making it the perfect companion for relaxing summer evenings that invite enjoyment.
The grapes for the 2022 vintage were handpicked at 21–22° Balling. After destemming and crushing, color extraction lasted 2-3 hours. The must rested at 13–14°C for 48 hours before being racked off the yeast and inoculated with a specific commercial yeast strain. Fermentation occurred under temperature control at around 14°C, completing in approximately ten days.
