Information about "Lanzerac Le Général Red Blend 2022"
Lanzerac Le Général pays tribute to French General Charles Lanzerac, whom the estate honors. This robust red blend, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, enchants with alluring notes of fine vanilla and nutmeg, leading into an opulent array of dark berries, plum compote, and blackcurrant on a velvety palate. Tempting hints of dark chocolate, firm tannins, and delicate smoky nuances complete this sophisticated profile, resulting in a finish that lingers delightfully. A truly masterful blend!
The grapes for the 2022 vintage were harvested from late February to early April. This "Left Bank Blend," consisting of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 10% Malbec, and 6% Petit Verdot, matured for over 20 months in a mix of new and second-fill French oak barrels of 225 and 300 liters. Each variety was fermented and aged separately before being carefully blended and bottled.
