The Landskroon Paul de Villiers Reserve represents the flagship offering from the estate, characterized by its elegant Bordeaux blend. The captivating aroma reveals enticing notes of cassis, ripe red berries, fine granite, and hints of cedar wood. On the palate, this exceptional wine showcases remarkable complexity, with delightful layers of dark fruit and aromatic oak influences. It is a sumptuous, full-bodied red with seamlessly integrated tannins.
For five generations, passionate winemakers have contributed to making Landskroon one of the leading wine brands in Paarl. The current cellarmaster, Paul de Villiers, proudly continues this family legacy as its fifth generation steward.
The grapes for this premium wine were hand-harvested at optimal ripeness and vinified separately by varietal. During fermentation in open stainless steel tanks, the cap was regularly submerged to extract intense color and tannin. Following fermentation, the wines matured separately for 18 months in new and second-fill French barriques before being blended and bottled.
This Reserve comprises 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 10% Malbec, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot.
