Information about "La Petite Ferme Verdict 2023"
La Petite Ferme Verdict 2023 represents a remarkable Bordeaux-style cuvée primarily composed of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Cabernet Sauvignon contributes a solid backbone and classic aromas of blackcurrant, fruitcake, and pencil shavings. In contrast, the Cabernet Franc introduces delightful spice and floral notes. The finish is smooth and slightly savory, lingering elegantly on the palate.
The name "Verdict" signifies a unanimous consensus on the quality of this exquisite cuvée from Boutique Winery La Petite Ferme in Franschhoek. As one of the Cape's more intimate estates, La Petite Ferme prides itself on crafting its wines with precision and artistry, always in harmony with nature.
Both grape varieties were vinified separately and aged independently for 12 months in French oak barrels. Following maturation, the wines were blended and aged for an additional 15 months in barrels, utilizing 30% new wood, before being bottled.
