Behold the Keermont Topside Syrah, showcasing a deep plum shade that enchants the nose with an exquisite bouquet of dark fruit, mingled with nuances of fragrant rose petals, ripe strawberries, and tea leaf. On the palate, it presents a soft yet juicy texture complemented by a firm, robust tannic backbone. This esteemed Syrah divulges rich notes of red fruits and sandalwood, while the prolonged finish offers a sumptuous harmony of fruit, natural acidity, and structural integrity.
Situated on the steep, westward slopes of the Stellenbosch Mountain range (350 meters above sea level), the Topside Syrah vineyards are characterized by their altitude and soil composition of sandstone and granite, both of which enhance the wine's spiced profile and fine tannin structure.
Das handgelesene Traubengut für diesen meisterlichen Syrah stammt zu 100 % aus Keermonts eigenen Weinbergen und wurde je nach Reb-Block und Reifegrad separat vinifiziert. Der Gärungsvorgang fand auf natürliche, traditionelle und besonders behutsame Art und Weise in offenen Fermentern statt. Nach Abschluss der Gärung reifte der Wein 20 Monate lang in französischen Barriques (500 l) und wurde anschließend ungefiltert per Hand auf die Flasche gefüllt
