With a brilliant, deep purple hue, the Keermont Amphitheatre 2018 reveals an enticing bouquet of ripe strawberry, baked desserts, delicate vanilla, and sweet citrus blossom—a true feast for the senses! On the palate, this highly regarded, classic Bordeaux-style Cuvée, augmented by Shiraz and Mourvèdre, presents a taut tannin structure and a delicious array of flavors, from ripe plums and aromatic berries to fine herbal notes and subtle oak nuances. The finish is extraordinarily long and juicy, tinged with lingering cherry notes and gripping tannins.
This vintage spent five years in bottle within the Keermont cellar before its release to ensure integration and maturation, with a mere 3,685 bottles produced.
Das Traubengut für den Amphitheatre wurde bei optimalem Reifegrad handgelesen und separat vinifiziert. Der Fermentierungsprozess fand auf ungemein schonende und natürliche Art in offenen Fermentern und unter Zuhilfenahme traditioneller Methoden statt. Nach Abschluss der Gärung wurden die Weine verschnitten und die Cuvée reifte 29 Monate lang in einer Kombination aus erst-, zweit-, und drittbefüllten Fässern aus französischem Eichenholz, bevor sie ohne Filterung von Hand auf die Flasche gefüllt wurde. Vor Herausgabe reifte der Wein in Keermonts Keller weitere fünf Jahre lang in der Flasche, um eine perfekte Integration und Reife gewährleisten zu können.
