Jean Daneel Signature Chenin Blanc 2023 captures the essence of vibrant lime, citrus peel, and baked apple aromas, complemented by dried apricot and a hint of nuttiness. The palate is opulent and creamy, with refreshing acidity, well-integrated oak, and a complex fruit profile delivering a lasting finish.
Treatment in the cellar
Die Trauben stammen aus dem Robertson-Gebiet. Dieses Gebiet verleiht dem Wein durch die unterschiedlichen Bodenarten und das Klima verschiedene Aromen und Komponenten. Die Reben sind zwischen 15 und 35 Jahre alt. Der Wein wurde im Fass vergoren und durchlief die malolaktische Gärung. Er reifte 12 Monate lang, wie es auch in den vorherigen Jahrgängen der Fall war, mit regelmäßigem Aufrühren des Hefelagers in den ersten Monaten, um dem Wein mehr Komplexität zu verleihen. Es wurden 20 % neues französisches Eichenholz verwendet.
