The Holden Manz Reserve Semillon 2022 impresses with a brilliant lemon hue and lively lime-green reflections. Its bouquet is wonderfully complex, offering hints of lemon zest, mineral notes, apricot, and a touch of coriander. Rich and full-bodied on the palate, it unfolds delightful mango flavors, harmoniously balanced by a refreshing acidity, a lingering finish, and subtle oak nuances.
This limited release comprises only 1,087 bottles and is crafted from 25-year-old vines at the Holden Manz estate.
The grapes were hand-harvested in the early morning and cooled to 5°C upon arrival at the cellar. They were pressed whole bunch, and after settling, 25% of the juice was naturally fermented in a combination of first and second-fill oak barrels. The remaining 75% was vinified in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures of 14°C. Before bottling, the wine spent eight months on fine lees.
