The Groot Constantia Merlot enchants with enticing scents of ripe plums and dark cherries, complemented by a delicious hint of blackcurrant and elegant notes of vanilla oak. On the palate, this luxurious red wine is beautifully ripe, offering rich flavors of dark fruits, chocolate, and subtle French oak, all supported by smooth tannins and a refreshing acidity.
Dieser Merlot fermentierte in Edelstahltanks und wurde in der ersten Hälfte des Fermentierungsprozesses alle vier Stunden umgewälzt, um ein Maximum an Farbe und Komplexität in den Wein zu übertragen. Nach Abschluss der Fermentierung reifte der Wein 15 Monate lang in 225 l Fässern aus französischer Eiche, von denen 61% Neuholz, 10% zweit- und 29% drittbefülltes Holz ausmachten.
