Introducing the Groot Constantia Lady of Abundance, a illustrious successor to Groot Constantia’s acclaimed Rood. This Cape Blend features a prominent Pinotage influence, presenting a tapestry of complexity and generosity. An alluring bouquet of ripe black fruit aromas greets you, with notes of black currants, plums, cherries, and pomegranates, accented by delicate hints of chocolate and spice. On the palate, layers of dark plums and cherries unfold, beautifully complemented by a refined tannin structure. The finish is a delightful medley of mocha oak and impeccable balance, culminating in a smooth and prolonged aftertaste.
The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks with regular pump-overs. Following fermentation, the wines matured for 12 months in an assortment of French oak barrels, including 10% new, 35% second-fill, 35% third-fill, and 20% fourth-fill. The best barrels were blended together and bottled after this aging process.
